- Scenario B (Heavy shower) - 40 × Ø1.2 mm nozzles at 3 kgf/cm², 39.2 L/min total for 1 hour at 85°C. (SAE J575 / JIS D0203)
- Scenario C (Light shower) - 2 × Ø0.5 mm nozzles at 3 kgf/cm², 3.2 L/min total for 10 minutes at 85°C. (SAE J575 / JIS D0203)
- Scenario D (Drip test) - 2 drops/sec for 1 hour at ambient temperature. (Ford CETP 00.00-E-412)

High-pressure water spray chamber module (for Scenario A)


To reproduce 85 kgf/cm² conditions safely and repeatably, LIB supplies a dedicated high-pressure pump package, reinforced stainless steel piping and purpose-built nozzle mounts.

The nozzle fixture is lockable at 90° and adjustable so the DUT can be oriented to expose "the most severe spray angle." Integrated pressure sensors, over-pressure relief and safety interlocks protect the DUT and operators while logging the test for traceability. The LIB IPX9K Test Equipment can also conduct high-pressure water spraying tests. The difference is that the water temperature for this test should be 80℃, while the customer requires the temperature inside the chamber to be 85℃.

Multi-nozzle shower panel and flow balancing (for Scenario B)


For heavy showers LIB installs a modular 40-nozzle array with calibrated orifices (Ø1.2 mm) and a precision splitting manifold. Each branch is monitored using inline flow meters so the total 39.2 L/min distribution and per-nozzle uniformity are verifiable.2. The system includes a heated circulation tank and filtration/anti-scaling features to reliably supply 85°C water for long duration tests.

 

Quick-change nozzle modules & programmatic control (for Scenario C)


Switching from heavy shower to light spray is handled by quick-swap nozzle modules (Ø0.5 mm) and PLC-driven pressure control.

Pre-programmed test recipes allow operators to run a 10-minute light spray exactly to spec with automated data capture and pass/fail logging.

 

Precision drip generator (for Scenario D)


A micro-valve or calibrated capillary dropper module produces stable droplet rates (2 drops/sec) and is validated with optical counting sensors. The drip test fixture is low-disturbance and can lock DUT orientation so that repeatability and photographic records are easy to collect.The LIB IPX1 X2 Water Spray Test Chamber can also offer a water droplet test.
