In response to the European Union's tightened environmental regulations, LIB Industry has launched a new generation of environmental test chambers using eco-friendly refrigerants, aligning with EU Regulation 2024/537. Effective January 1, 2025, this policy enforces a strict Global Warming Potential (GWP) cap of 150 on all refrigerants in industrial equipment sold in the EU, driving industries toward cleaner, more sustainable technologies.

Unlike older refrigerants such as R404A (GWP 3922) and R23 (GWP 14,800)-which were phased out for their environmental impact-LIB's newly engineered systems utilize advanced low-GWP blends that deliver exceptional performance, even at extreme temperatures as low as -70°C. These new refrigerants not only meet EU standards but also reduce energy consumption and improve overall system efficiency.

LIB emphasizes that regulatory compliance cannot be achieved through simple refrigerant replacement. Instead, the company has undertaken comprehensive redesigns of its cooling architecture, integrating energy-optimized components and smarter controls to ensure both sustainability and high testing precision.
This innovation comes at a critical time, especially for sectors like aerospace, automotive, and electronics, where high-performance environmental simulation is essential. Transitional refrigerants like R449A (GWP 1396) or R508B (GWP 13,504) are no longer long-term solutions. LIB's proactive approach ensures clients are prepared for both current and future regulatory demands.
The LIB's latest chambers have already completed successful field tests across Europe, confirming their reliability and compliance under real-world conditions. Beyond refrigerant upgrades, LIB also offers extensive customization options, including chamber size, performance range, and controller integration.
